Mindfulness & Meditation

Over 16,000 scholarly articles have documented the scientific benefits of mindfulness practice. Your Course walks you through a unique curriculum which includes:

Community

Weekly meetings held Thursday nights provide positive social support, which has been shown to:

  • enhance resilience to stress
  • decrease the negative impact of traumatic experiences
  • moderate genetic and environmental vulnerabilities for mental illness
  • alleviate symptoms and onset of depression

 

Youth 15-18 meet Thursdays 5-6:30pm.

Youth 12-14 meet Thursdays 6:30-8pm.

What is the LBS Youth Mindful Living Course?

The LBS Youth Mindful Living Course integrates mindfulness practice, yoga philosophy, modern therapies, and traditional 12-Step principles.

We believe that we all need a little help and support to skillfully navigate the human condition. The program offers universal principles and accountability through a compassion-based, trauma-sensitive, and somatic-centered lens.

If your child is struggling with anxiety, body image, low self-esteem, self-destructive behaviors, or troubled relationships, we have the tools to help them find peace and power.

The 36-week session instills lifelong principles to optimize physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health. It’s a gift you can offer your child that will pay dividends for a lifetime.

The LBS Youth Mindful Living Course is also one of the most affordable ways you can improve and support your child’s mental health.  At less than $20 per 90-minute session, we offer outcomes comparable to therapy at a fraction of the cost.

The Fall Session Launches with our Orientation Meetings:

When and where is the weekly Youth Course meeting?

The Teen Course meets on Thursday nights at Lifehouse Body & Soul, 669 N 250 E, Salem, UT. Youth 15-18 meet 5-6:30pm. Youth 12-14 meet 6:30-8pm. The Session starts Thursday, August 25th and runs through Thursday, May 18th, 2023.

What is the The Practice Upgrade?

Your Practice Upgrade includes Saturday classes from 7:45-9am. Each Practice includes a presence check-in, cardio, toning, yoga or pilates, and 10-15 minutes of guided meditation. These classes are systematically designed to help you release stress and experience peace, insight, and equanimity. The Practice Upgrade costs $25/month.

What does the LBS Teen Mindful Living Course cost?

After running a successful Pilot, we are confident to offer our first full Teen Mindful Living Session. The cost is 10 monthly payments of $80 for the 36-week session or 4 monthly payments of $190, which includes the LBS Welcome Packet of required materials. That's an incredible value at less than $20 for each 90-minute class--certainly one of the most affordable ways to improve your teen's mental and emotional health.

What Course materials do I need?

Your Course Tuition includes The LBS Mindful Living Welcome Packet, and your teen will need to bring The Course Book to class with her each week.

What fitness equipment do I need for Saturday Practice?

Participants need to bring their own yoga mat and water bottle to daily practice.

What is your cancellation policy?

When you enroll in the Teen Mindful Living Course, you commit for the entire session. Once the session is underway, there are no cancellations or refunds. Space is limited, so your commitment to the session takes a seat from somebody else. When you enroll in The Practice Upgrade, your subscription renews each month and you can cancel at anytime.

Is the Youth Mindful Living Course for both boys and girls?

Yes! While our Pilot Program was originally intended for girls, our new 22-23 curriculum teaches universal principles which are applicable to all. We welcome all interested youth 12-18 to participate in our Mindful Living Course.
